If Reset’s countdown works but reminders do not appear, check the notification settings in layers. The app’s preference, Android’s permission and individual notification channels can each affect what you see.
These instructions describe Reset 1.1.0; Android menu names vary by device.
First check the active session
Confirm there is an active session and that its start and target are correct. Reset schedules reminders relative to those times.
If you edited the start into the past, reminders whose scheduled times have already passed are not replayed as a backlog. A missing old alert does not necessarily mean future alerts are broken.
Check both app and Android controls
Check that reminders are enabled in Reset, then inspect Android’s app notification settings for Reset. Use Google’s notification help if the menu differs.
Also review the individual channels. Reset separates stage information, check-ins and hydration, and completion notifications. One channel can be muted while another remains available.
Separate missing alerts from late alerts
Exact-alarm access is different from permission to display notifications. Without exact-alarm access, Reset uses Android’s inexact scheduling fallback.
If alerts appear but arrive later than expected, follow the late-reminder guide. Also check Do Not Disturb or other device modes that may suppress visible or audible interruptions.
Do not erase history to fix an alert
Clearing app storage removes local records and is not a sensible first step for this issue. Review permissions and channel settings before considering destructive troubleshooting.
If the problem persists, record the app version, phone model, Android version, expected alert time and actual behaviour. Send only the information needed to support; a full fasting history is usually unnecessary.
A reminder is a convenience, not a medical instruction or a guarantee of delivery at an exact second. You can always inspect the countdown and end the record at the actual time.
