Your first session in Reset should establish a clear record: an actual start, a deliberate target and an actual finish. The app organises these times; it does not decide whether fasting is medically appropriate.
These instructions describe Reset 1.1.0 on Android.
Read the safety notice
On first use, review the app’s safety information before choosing a plan. You can also read the website’s safety context. Speak with a qualified clinician before changing your eating routine.
Preset names and durations are recording options, not a personalised recommendation or a progression you must complete.
Choose the target and check the start
Use the plan picker to select a preset or a custom target. Start the session when the interval you intend to record begins.
If you opened the app after the actual start, use the time editor to correct it. Check both the date and the time, especially after midnight. The start-time guide explains which event a calorie-free interval normally uses.
Decide whether reminders help
Notifications are optional. If you want them, check both the app preference and Android’s permission. Exact-alarm access is a separate Android setting that can affect timing.
You can still read the countdown without receiving every alert. An alert indicates the chosen target or an educational milestone; it does not measure your body.
Finish at the actual end
End the session when the interval actually finishes, even if it is earlier than the target. A target-reaching notification should not be mistaken for an automatic record of when you ate.
Open Trends afterwards and check the finished entry. If you made a timing mistake, correct the session rather than leaving a misleading record.
Once this workflow feels clear, explore history and statistics. An accurate first entry is more useful than choosing the longest preset or obtaining a particular completion score.
