A fasting history can describe your daily routine in considerable detail. Reset’s approach is to keep its own record locally, without creating an account or transmitting it to a developer-operated service.
What is saved
Reset stores session start and end times, the selected plan and target duration, notification preferences and whether you have seen the safety notice. These are kept in the app’s private storage on your Android device.
Statistics, badges and streaks are calculated from your history. They are not separate records on a Reset server. If you change a session, the figures can change with it.
The app does not ask for a name, email address, location, weight or medical records. It has no ads, advertising identifier collection, analytics or crash-reporting service.
Offline is a product choice
The Android app does not request the INTERNET permission. Its own code therefore cannot send your fasting history to us. Timer operation, local history and the bundled educational material do not depend on a Reset server.
Opening an external link is different. A privacy-policy link opens a browser; a support link opens your email app; a store link opens Google Play. Those services have their own network connections and policies. They do not turn the timer into an online account.
Android backup is a separate layer
Your operating system may back up app data through your Google account, depending on Android settings and device support. That can help restore data when setting up a phone. It is operated by Google, not by Reset, and we cannot retrieve the backup for you.
This is why “Reset does not send your history to us” is more precise than “your data can never leave your phone.” Check your device’s backup controls before relying on a restore. A locally stored record is not a guarantee that it will transfer between every device.
Before uninstalling or clearing storage
Uninstalling Reset or using Android’s Clear storage control removes its local app data. We cannot recover it from a developer server, because there is no such copy. An Android backup may behave differently according to your settings; deleting local data does not itself establish that a platform backup has been deleted.
If preserving history is important, confirm what your Android backup settings actually cover before making changes. Do not assume that signing into Google Play restores every app’s data—it establishes purchase access, while data restoration is a separate process.
Website privacy is different
This website is hosted online, so the hosting provider processes ordinary web requests. We do not add advertising pixels or behavioural analytics to it. The schedule calculator runs in the browser without sending or saving your input.
If you email support, the details you choose to send are necessarily handled by email services. Avoid including fasting logs or sensitive health details unless they are genuinely necessary for your request.
