Can your fasting schedule change on weekends?

See how a later weekend dinner changes the next interval, and learn to record flexible timing without treating missed targets as a debt.

Your recorded start and end times can change on weekends. A timer does not require every day to be identical. Whether a particular eating pattern is appropriate for you is a separate question to discuss with a qualified clinician.

Work through a Saturday example

Suppose Friday dinner ends at 7 pm and Saturday breakfast is at 9 am. That interval is 14 hours. On Saturday, dinner ends at 9 pm and Sunday breakfast is still at 9 am. The second interval is 12 hours.

Keeping the same breakfast and keeping the same duration are different choices. A 14-hour target after a 9 pm finish would end at 11 am. The arithmetic does not obligate you to move breakfast.

Plan around the event you want to keep

If Sunday breakfast is a shared meal, write it into the plan first. That makes the constraint visible before you look at a timer. Avoid making social meals contingent on achieving an app target.

The same approach works for weddings, birthdays and visiting friends. The social-meal guide includes a practical preparation checklist.

Make the log reflect the weekend

Keep actual starts, actual finishes and the original intended targets. If the result misses a target, it is still a valid record.

Choose the target before starting, or check it before saving a new manual entry. Reset 1.1.0 preserves that target when editing existing session times. If you selected the wrong target, account for that when reading the percentage rather than changing accurate times to fit it.

Read a mixed week fairly

An average combines different kinds of days. It may hide that weekdays are regular and weekends vary. Review individual entries before deciding the entire routine has changed.

Reset lets you inspect recorded sessions and period summaries. It does not automatically label weekends as exceptions or prescribe a make-up fast. See comparing different targets to understand how a flexible week affects the numbers. There is no need to lengthen a later interval to cancel out an earlier meal.
